Two in a row!

Hey, hey! I remembered to post here! 2 days in a row, we're starting good.
This stuff is nothing new, and just what I had already photographed, or had copies of here on older posts that got essentially erased when I got rid of my old computer...  But, at least it's something! :)

Third time's the charm

Let's try this one more time.  As I only had ONE singular post so far this entire calendar year...

I'm going to start photographing my work and storing it here for the general public (or, the few people who happen across this) to view.  The easiest way to start I think would be my most recent dive into photography!  Here are a few of my favorites... unedited, for now.

Return of the Blog!!

So, I've decided after neglecting this blog far too long, I'm going to start posting regularly again. :)

Here is the first post of hopefully many to come.

Today's theme: Cute things!

Summer? maybe...

So I've started my summer job as ARTery intern at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI.  A lot of days recently, though, you wouldn't guess it's June. -But it IS nice being by the big lake!

haha... Wisconsin weather - gotta love it!

It's sort of awesome....  the internship I mean, not the weather. Except when real messy kids come in. (and don't clean their messes up themselves, and run away, so I have to clean more.)  >.<

Anyway - I'm thinking of taking pictures of the ARTery and posting its progression on here (although, it's gotten to look a lot different now even from a week or two ago...)

Maybe this idea will still work. I'll try :)
Otherwise, if it doesn't... I'll just try and update often with musings of what's been going on lately.

And PS - If you go to the website (^the hyperlink's up there^) and look up the ARTery under the Learn/Explore tab, you'll find some info. on it, BUT last time I checked, it was a bit outdated. The ARTery is no longer an aviary, so it is no longer being inspired by Tom Uttech's painting.
However! It's now based on Memory (exhibition coming up - opening June 26 - HIDING PLACES: Memory in the Arts) and largely on Pat Graney's House of Mind, as well as a Deborah Ascheim piece that's already up in the gallery.

Heike Weber popped up on my Yahoo Newsfeed...

A view from above gives you a new perspective ...Heike Weber, an artist from Siegen, North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, expressed her artistry by drawing Utopia across the walls and on lacquer and acrylic floors, according to reports by several news sites.
The 49-year-old Weber uses several boxes of permanent colored felt markers to create her doodles and come up with amazing installations.
The combination of the colored felt markers being waved over white surfaces provides a very lively room environment.
Reports say that her art work spanned up to 600 square meter surface.

Here are some photos of Heike Weber‘s installations that include themes like Utopia, Yves, Kilim and Boden Los.
